The vegetative level is what I’m on.
The plant soul is defined in the ability to have metabolism, have offspring, and be able to protect itself.
Animal soul has perception on the one hand, and desire / fear on the other. Both are necessary to go above the plant soul.
The more demanding the life of an animal is, the more developed and differentiated its perceptions are.
Humans have an intellect.
