The manifestation of beauty appears in many parts but the form is singular.

Plotinus defines good as that which the soul desires, however, he first defines the souls as those of “the great people/souls”

“Being, living, intellection” -

The feeling of wonder and delight towards knowledge is a good thing - it notifies you of whether you’re getting closer to finding out whatever

To improve oneself, one has to look into themselves, and simply look for their beauty. Should they not see it, they must simply slowly cut away and remove excess until it comes into view. Much like a sculpture, they must be liberated from the excess marble.

The task of the philosopher is thus to see their own self in its pure unity/singularity/simplicity.

Augustine

It’s easy to be friends in good times, however, many people won’t stick by you when hard times come upon you. You may be able to check what people’s intentions and feelings towards you are, though in doing so you will ruin your social life.
